Welcome to Greenspace
Harleston Greenspace CIC is a new community group established to promote nature recovery and provide public amenity greenspace to encourage engagement with nature and a healthy lifestyle.

Harleston Greenspace were awarded £10,000 from the South Norfolk Council's 'Nature Conservation Fund' to create a nature conservation rea on grassland off Rushall Road.
The focus is on: projects that actively contribute to tackling carbon emissions; enhance local ecosystems by supporting a diverse range of plant and animal life; and create and improve green spaces that are accessible and enjoyable for the entire community
Working Together
We are working with representatives from many environmental groups who will bring their knowledge and expertise to the project. Norfolk Wildlife Trust, Suffolk Wildlife Trust, Tyndall Centre at University of East Anglia, Waveney Volunteers for Nature, Waveney Bird Club, Norfolk Ponds Project, and The Conservation Volunteers are working together. The plans have the support of Redenhall with Harleston Town Council, the Sancroft Academy and Adrian Ramsey the MP for Waveney Valley.

The Vision
The first stage of the design includes a mini forest, carefully managed areas for nature, bird, bat, and owl boxes, bug houses and log piles, rainwater harvesting, and a circular walk with information boards and resting spots. We intend to hold sessions to involve the community and will provide regular updates. This is a project where everyone can be involved.
